Đại sứ quán xin công bố hướng dẫn thủ tục nhập quốc tịch Việt Nam ở nước ngoài theo Luật quốc tịch sửa đổi. Các biểu mẫu liên quan cũng đã được đăng tải cập nhật trong hướng dẫn này.
Theo Luật quốc tịch sửa đổi, việc nhập quốc tịch Việt Nam không còn hạn chế chỉ dành cho người nước ngoài đang thường trú ở Việt Nam như trước đây mà mở rộng cho cả người đang cư trú ở nước ngoài, nếu đáp ứng các điều kiện quy định. Những người này có thể nộp hồ sơ tại Cơ quan đại diện Việt Nam nơi cư trú.
Khác với thủ tục trở lại quốc tịch Việt Nam (dành cho người đã mất quốc tịch Việt Nam nay muốn có lại quốc tịch Việt Nam), thủ tục nhập quốc tịch Việt Nam dành cho người chưa từng có quốc tịch Việt Nam trước đây.
Trong quá trình thực hiện, nếu có câu hỏi liên quan tới thủ tục trở lại quốc tịch Việt Nam, xin vui lòng liên hệ tới bộ phận xử lý theo số điện thoại (030) 53630 108 hoặc (030) 53630 122.
